Description LED drum screens designed and manufactured by Peasok Studio for the drum show BW Drum Show. The project was implemented as a stage solution in which the visual component was required to operate in synchronization with sound and enhance the dramatic structure of the performance. Unlike standard drum lighting based on single-color LED strips, garlands, or basic RGB elements, this project utilizes full circular screens made from pixel-addressable LED strips, capable of displaying pre-prepared visual content. The key task was to create lighting elements that could render animation and graphics developed by a motion designer for specific show numbers, while maintaining stable operation under constant impact loads and vibrations.
Construction & Technology The drum overlays are built as autonomous lighting modules based on pixel-addressable LED strips assembled into circular screens matching the geometry of the drums. The construction and mounting systems were engineered with consideration for vibration and dynamic loads generated during percussion performance. The system allows pre-prepared visual content to be uploaded and played back during performances, ensuring precise alignment between visual effects and the musical material.
