Stage Costume - Chewbacca

Crowd Interaction · Programmable Display · Close-Contact Performance

Description
The Chewbacca costume is an original stage character developed by Peasok Studio for in-house use and live event work. The costume was designed as a bright, instantly recognizable character intended for close interaction with audiences.
The visual core of the image consists of a fluffy faux-fur coat in acid green or pink and a headpiece shaped as a “monitor” with an integrated LED display. This deliberately exaggerated and playful contrast makes the character highly visible in space and immediately engaging for guests.
The Chewbacca character performs especially well in interactive formats where emotional response, humor, and direct contact are important. The costume is highly popular at events involving close audience interaction, particularly with children.

Construction & Technology
The headpiece is implemented as an autonomous unit featuring a programmable LED display. The display allows for the output of a wide range of emotions, facial expressions, icons, and animations. It also supports branding, enabling the display of text, short messages, or event-specific content.
The faux-fur coat includes a removable inner lining designed for regular washing and maintenance, which is essential for intensive use and close-contact performance formats.
The costume is engineered for active roaming performance, performer mobility, and frequent professional use. Over time, the Chewbacca image has become one of the most recognizable Peasok Studio characters and, as a result, one of the most frequently copied. Numerous low-quality imitations have been identified worldwide, unrelated to the original project.
