Description The Cyber New Year costumes were designed and manufactured by Peasok Studio in 2016 and became one of the studio’s first projects for an external client. The project was developed in a format that later became characteristic of Peasok’s approach: an original authorial design adapted to a specific request and realized as finished stage costumes. The concept is based on a reinterpretation of the traditional characters of Ded Moroz and Snegurochka through a contemporary visual aesthetic. The task was to preserve the recognizability of the characters while giving them a technological, stage-oriented expression suitable for shows and festive events.
Construction & Technology During development, the lighting system was divided according to the mobility of costume elements. On dynamic parts of the costumes, such as the coats, a lightweight LED “web” was used to emphasize movement without adding visual or physical heaviness to the form. Fixed elements and headpieces were implemented using LED strips, creating clearer and more stable lighting accents. This distribution of lighting elements made it possible to maintain wearing comfort while achieving a balanced and expressive visual effect in stage performance. ______________________________________________________________ Cyber New Year - a completed Peasok Studio stage costume project featuring original design and a combined lighting integration approach.
